One-Bowl Maple-Kissed Banana Nut Bread

Soft, nutty, and perfectly sweet with warm hints of maple magic

If there’s anything better than warm banana bread, it’s warm banana bread made with less cleanup. This one-bowl wonder is rich with ripe bananas, kissed with maple sugar, and packed with cozy spices and crunchy nuts. It’s a go to favorite in our house especially with a pat of butter while it’s still warm from the oven!

Ingredients:

• 3 ripe bananas, mashed

• ½ cup butter, melted

• 2 tbsp maple sugar (stirred into the melted butter)

• ½ cup cane sugar (or sugar of choice)

• ½ cup brown sugar

• ½ cup milk

• 1½ tsp vanilla extract (or measure with your heart)

• 2 cups fresh milled flour (soft wheat, spelt, or einkorn work beautifully)

• 1 tsp baking powder

• 1 tsp baking soda

• ½ tsp salt

• ½ tsp cinnamon

• ¼ tsp nutmeg

• ½ cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans are our go-to)

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter or oil a loaf pan or muffin tin.

2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas.

3. Stir in the melted butter and maple sugar until smooth and fragrant.

4. Mix in the cane sugar, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla.

5. Add the flour right into the wet mixture. Sprinkle the baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg over the flour. Gently mix everything together until just combined—be careful not to overmix!

6. Fold in the chopped nuts.

7. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 200°F and a toothpick comes out clean.

8. Let it cool for a bit (if you can wait!) or slice and enjoy warm with butter like we do.

This bread rarely gets a chance to cool in our house, it’s that good! Whether you bake in time for a midnight snack, breakfast, or to share with friends, we hope it brings as much comfort and joy to your kitchen as it does to ours! 🤍
